During my doctoral program, my perfectionist and high-achiever tendencies became very hard to manage. I was always overprepared, overworked, lacked boundaries by saying “yes” instead of “no,” and felt anxious most of the day.


I eventually went to therapy, got to the bottom of my feelings, and healed my relationship with perfectionism — but the hardest thing was taking the first step.
